This group is a space for participants to discuss innovations in nature based solutions. Monthly sessions highlight promising practices for equitable, effective nature-based coastal resilience work. As part of a larger partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF), this group draws on case studies of past successful NCRF projects and serves as a space for potential NCRF grantees to interact with the ASAP Network of experts, partners, and advisors as they form their proposals. National Coastal Resilience Fund Partnership 

ASAP is thrilled to be part of the Field Liaison Team for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF). Throwe Environmental, LLC leads the Team, which also includes the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society (NAFWS). 

As Field Liaisons, Throwe, ASAP, and NAFWS support NCRF applicants across the U.S. throughout 2023. The Team is hosting virtual and in-person peer-to-peer learning events and presentations. We are also conducting direct outreach, hosting conversations with potential applicants to develop project ideas, and troubleshooting with previous applicants as they consider reapplying for funding. 

2023 National Coastal Resilience Fund RFP Webinar Series

Join ASAP and Throwe Environmental for a three-part webinar series designed to help you prepare to receive funding from the 2023 National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF). The first session starts on Wednesday, March 1!

NCRF invests in planning, design, and restoration of natural and nature-based solutions to help protect coastal communities from the impacts of storms, floods, and other natural hazards. NCRF brings together public and private funding to help communities meet their coastal climate adaptation needs. ASAP is proud to partner with Throwe Environmental to bring you this webinar series as part of our work via the NCRF Field Liaison Team and to advance the goals of ASAP’s Ready-to-Fund Resilience program by helping webinar participants prepare to submit excellent applications in response to the 2023 NCRF Program. 

Series Schedule and Information

Session Dates and Times:

  • Session One: Wednesday, March 1, 12-1 ET
  • Session Two:  Wednesday, March 15, 3-4 ET 
  • Session Three: Wednesday, April 5, 12-1 ET

What to Expect:

  • In session one, members of the NCRF Field Liaison Team will provide an overview of the National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF), share details about the 2023 NCRF RFP, describe what elements are necessary for potential applicants to cover in their pre-proposals, and share insights for beginning to put together a successful application. This session will be recorded for all registrants to view at any time.
  • In sessions two and three, NCRF Field Liaison Team members will be available in real time to answer questions and discuss good practices to support potential applicants in preparing their applications. These sessions will consist of small group discussions around topics such as: writing a good abstract, budget, partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and identifying match funding.
