About: I have been working in the adaptation profession for approximately 10 years, when I was part of a team that creating an adaptation planning process in the San Francisco Bay Area called the Adapting to Rising Tides (ART) Program. The ART Program had a number of innovations, including deep partnerships, building equity into every phase of the work, shared research and analysis; the addition of governance to equity, economy and environment and the creation of an adaptation planning approach that could be used by others. Since creating the ART Program, I lead a team of staff on adaptation planning projects at a variety of scopes and scales throughout the Bay and was the Deputy Director of Planning and Policy at the Bay Conservation and Development Commission. I left BCDC to join the Port of San Francisco, where I currently serve as the Port's Resilience Officer and work on a variety of efforts, from policy development, community engagement and implementation.
