Name: Emily Schoerning

About: Dr. Emily Schoerning is a science education researcher. She studied how the language of science is used to divide people, and has developed language tools to heal the gap. Her outreach work has brought climate science into the hands of tens of thousands of Americans in rural and working-class communities. She founded American Resiliency in 2021, a nonprofit focused on providing information and adaptation services for our most-likely climate future. She lives with her husband, Rabbi Michael Gilboa, their three children, a baby prairie, and many other plants.
