Name: Bryce Henney

About: Bryce uses his diverse background for self-sufficiency and resiliency planning at community and regional scales. He sees planning as one of the most essential instruments to transform the way we live with our planet and each other and, in turn, transform our mindsets to become in tune with life affirming ways of living. This work needs to emphasize collaboration and empowerment of indigenous groups not only for reconciliation and community revitalization but to create regenerative, viable systems more generally. His experiences during undergrad living with the Shiwiar and Kayapo in the Amazon have led Bryce to embrace the notion that humans can enhance biodiversity and maintain natural resources by proper interactions that more closely mimic natural systems. Through regenerative design, holistic planning and partnerships with indigenous groups, he hopes to create projects that foster mutually beneficial human-ecological relationships and empower previously suppressed communities in the process.
