Name: Winter Rey Wilson

About: Winter started backpacking in national parks across the United States with her family when she was eight years old, and adopted environmental advocacy in her early teens. After discovering themes of environmental injustice in her backyard in Appalachian Ohio, she became increasingly interested in sustainable development, climate change adaptation and the ways in which environmental degradation disproportionately affects vulnerable communities around the world. Winter is passionate about climate change adaptation, interdisciplinary innovation and social entrepreneurship. She is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Ohio University, with a minor in French.
